About Premier Entertainment
 My name is Jim Smith and I have lived in Central Maine most of my life.
I have 2 Children, girls, which are active in school, sports and their community. I coach JR high soccer and Varsity Softball, and always give back to my community. I have played a musical instrument of some sort since the age of 10 and have has a passion for music since. I have a family of talented musicians, from my father who is a drummer to my brother who is a profound children’s entertainer. www.mrharleymusic.com .
The beginning of my DJ/MC days was 8 years ago when my grandfather got remarried and asked me to MC his wedding. From that point on I realized that with my passion for music and ability to perform, this is something I could do!
As a full time DJ/MC I wanted to set myself apart from the rest. So I thought I would do things different. I purchased state of the art equipment that would produce the very best sound possible, a sound that even musicians would relish! I also wanted to be ahead of the curve on how DJs produce their music. My music library is comprised of 20,000 MP3’s from the 30s through to today’s top hits! With access to almost any song that is from a national recording artist.
Why all this concern on equipment? At every party or event I have done, I work on the emotion of the crowd. Music is that avenue to bring emotion to its peak. With fabulous sound, I can create a joyous bridal march, a stunning introduction, a sad father daughter dance, or a sassy garter and bouquet. And with back up equipment on site, everything always goes as planned.
Not many DJs will put the time and effort in your event to get this emotion and excitement prior to your event, through music selection and preparation, as I will.
